Half a million tacks pulled off the bottom on the drivers side only half a million left on the passengers side. Rocker covers off and all the wood inside up to the package tray is unscrewed and nails are pulled. Almost time to start bracing the sheet.  Not much to look at. Shit load of work though. |

A & B pillars to go then the only wood is the stringers but (fingers crossed) the skin should just lift right off assuming I didnāt miss some of the millions of screws or nails.  grabbing more steel at lunch so I can finish bracing for the pull. |

Pretty much ready to gut the wood tonight just need to brace the sides of the roof skins and somehow brace side to side for when the cowl/A pillars come off.  So tired of the wood. Every screw, nail, and bolt has been a fucking huge battle. |

Moving forward still. Last of the side to side wood stringers and floor are out. Fighting with the B pillars still. Thereās something I canāt see inside the skin holding them. Should have it sorted tomorrow since I get an extra day off. Oh, finally found a use for my old pitching machine. The treadmill motor will be powering a bead roller now. Need to get a bead roller and a Lovejoy coupler. Plenty of low end torque and itās a dc motor with variable speed. Also need to make a stand for my shrinker and stretcher and convert them to foot operated. Doesnāt seem like itās related but it really is and will make my life a whole lot easier once I finally get around to the sheet metal work. Oh skully or anyone else, Iām looking for a Craftsman side cabinet 18ād, 16āw, 35āh aka:  if you see one on Craigslist or anywhere PLEASE lmk. I need one to make a welding cart. Yes I know the cheap import tool store has side cabs but I need the dimensions of the Craftsman/Waterloo. |

Finally figured out a way to brace the roof skins above where the doors were that still gives enough support hopefully. Half of the tubings cut & fit now. Other half hopefully tonight. Really sucks having no A or B pillars or flooring to weld to. Made me think waaay to long.

Ass 3/4s are free off wood now and separate from the cowl finally.  A pillars and doors are the last of it thank god. |

Not car tonight but my cheap ass cabinet was here when I got home. Itās thin as hell like 23 gauge or something. Drawer slides arenāt bearings but plastic. Itās going to take a bit to make it functional but some 1/8ā L and some 11 gauge plate will make it work. Was going to return it but it held about 50#s of C clamps so what the hell.  Had some 5ā casters and 5 wheels from the pedal car I made my kid decades ago. Decided against the pedal car wheels for the rear. Casters will help me swing it around in cramped places so going that route. May go fancy boi on the handle but not sold on it yetā¦  |
