Well I’m taking your advice skully. If I’m going to put more money into it I’ll just find a free or super cheap one on Craigs. It’s going back on Sunday. Yes the shoes are pretty new. Only a tiny Ollie hole right now. |

Welding cab is back on. Found a free one in Sacto with the right dimensions and 20 gauge steel:  casters are just clamped on until I can pick some plate for the bottom. Not fond of the file cabinet drawer pulls/placement. Some 3/4” square will work though:  itll be cut so it’s 3/4 instead of just square. Sorry got side tracked with trying to reorganize and optimize my limited space. After that I’m tracing all the wood so I can start with the structure for the body. Just lining my ducks up first. |

Looks like I’m selling my trail 110 so I should have some spare $ to fund new (square)dies for my bender and rollers so I should be back on the shitbox sometime soon-ish. Hopefully steel prices will have dropped some by then.

Looks like I’m going to be building my body table(fake frame so I can build my body) this weekend. Drug my tram home today and have all the steel, just need to measure and make some leveling casters. Still haven’t gotten a shipping notification on my die yet. Lame.

Got all my measurements. Looks like the frames square but I’m still going to use a build table. I need to hit up the Chevy restoration guys and see if they’ve got the factory measurements for the body mounts so I know for sure though.

  Can’t see it but all my holes are drilled and dead on correct distances. Need to tack the bracket still and make the kick up still. Then do it all over again… |
